Unsere Wünsche aber auch unsere Bedenken hat sie von Beginn weg erfasst und uns geholfen, gut mit diesen umzugehen.

Ich bin unglaublich dankbar, dass du mich bei der Geburt unseres ersten Kindes begleitet hast, ich wünschte, alle hätten dieses Glück. Deine kraftvolle Präsenz hat mir das Vertrauen gegeben eine lange Geburt guten Mutes und selbstbestimmt zu erleben. Ich erzähle gerne und mit leuchtenden Augen von diesem Erlebnis.

Besonders beeindruckt hat mich, wie es vom ersten Moment an geklickt hat. Ich war mit Wehen zuhause in der Badewanne, als ich Dich angerufen habe und von da an hast du uns durch jede Wehe begleitet. Wir kannten uns nur von einem Videocall, denn du bist für meine ursprüngliche Doula eingesprungen.<br><br> Danke für die Massagen, deine Vorschläge für Positionen und Bewegungen und dass du einfach immer da warst. Am Schluss ist unser Kind per Kaiserschnitt auf die Welt gekommen und du warst neben mir und wir haben uns gemeinsam vorgestellt, wie wir eine Reise zu einem japanischen Tempel machen statt uns im OP auf die Geschehnisse zu konzentrieren.

Den ersten Kuss von meinem Kind vergesse ich nie, mir kommen jetzt beim Aufschreiben schon wieder die Tränen.

Irit hat uns vor, während und nach der Geburt mit ihrer ehrlichen und feinfühligen Art als Doula professionell unterstütz. Sie war stets verfügbar, hat uns sogar auf Wunsch an wichtige Gespräche zur Vorbereitung der Geburt begleitet.

Ihre Betreuung vor, während und nach der Geburt war für uns enorm wertvoll. Wir haben uns gut aufgehoben gefühlt bei ihr. Es gibt so viele Informationen und Meinungen rund um das Thema Schwangerschaft, Geburt und Zeit danach. Da ist es hilfreich eine Doula wie Irit an der Seite zu haben, die einem durchführt. Und auch heute, fast drei Jahre nach der Geburt unserer Tochter können wir auf sie zählen, wenn wir Sie brauchen. Wir lieben ihre einfühlsame, ruhige und auch pragmatische Art. Irit ist Reich an Wissen rund um das Thema Geburt und Familie. Einfach wunderschön, wie sie diese Werte verkörpert. Wir sind dankbar für ihre liebe Unterstützung.

Having Irit around during my second pregnancy and delivery was very reassuring.
She helped us to relax, to stay present and enjoy the uniqueness of the experience; we enjoyed very much being pregnant and approached the birth feeling blessed and confident. Irit was always there for me when I needed her on the phone or eye-to-eye.

On the day of birth I felt supported but at the same time I felt I had my own space and privacy. Her warm and positive attitude was very helpful when having doubts or fears. Irit was reassuring not only for me but also for my husband, she helped him to navigate the situation and staying calm.

I was not afraid to be myself or open up – Irit accepted our feelings and embraced them guiding us with her wise advice. Having her over felt always like having a close relative that comes to check on us and show support.

Irit Sommer is an absolutely outstanding doula who made our birthing experience truly incredible. From our very first meeting, Irit put us at ease with her calm, nurturing presence and wealth of knowledge. As we prepared for our daughter's birth, Irit listened intently to our preferences and hopes, offering guidance while fully supporting our choices.

When our baby was overdue, Irit was right there, providing reassurance, suggestions to naturally induce labor, and a grounding force during the daily emotional rollercoaster. Once active labor began, Irit was a tremendously skillful coach. She intuitively knew exactly what I needed – whether it was a calming massage, a position change, or simply an empowering reminder that I had the strength to get through each contraction.

Irit's expertise made the intense pain so much more manageable. She created an environment of tranquility and safety that allowed me to surrender to the process. With her gentle encouragement, I felt an incredible sense of power and capability. Irit formed a beautifully harmonious team with my partner and midwife, giving my partner space to be fully present.

When things became more challenging medically, Irit explained exactly what was going on while providing indispensable physical and emotional support to us both. I am forever grateful to Irit for her vital role in helping us bring our daughter earthside in such a positive, empowering way. Simply put, she is a doula superstar and precious gift for any parent-to-be.

Irit is a wonderful doula! She supported my husband and I during the birth of our two children in 2022 and 2024. On both occasions, as soon as Irit entered the birthing room it felt like I was being scooped up into gentle, supportive and caring hands.

The energy shifted. She provided physical support with back massages and gentle movements and mental support with words of encouragement and upheld coping strategies we'd discussed prior during birth planning. If we have a third child, we will definitely be asking Irit to come back and support us once more. I can't recommend Irit more!

After a difficult first birth, we knew we wanted to approach birth differently with our second. We met with a few Doulas before finally choosing to work with Irit, and we could not be more happy with our choice!
Not only did we have a great birth experience, Irit also helped us greatly in preparing for life after the birth (both mentally and physically) and in transitioning to a family of 4.

During the birth itself, Irit was a true partner in our journey to bring our daughter into the world. We felt very supported and encouraged, without interfering with our intimacy in this special event Her gentle and sensitive presence also earned the respect of the medical team at the hospital.
